About Krista Moreau

Krista lives in Springwater, Ontario with her husband, two young children and Goldendoodle dog. She obtained a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia followed by a law degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Krista has been an active member in the legal community since her school years, volunteering with Justice for Children and Youth, Riverdale Mediation Centre and Queen’s University Legal Aid Clinic. During her time at Queen’s University, she also assisted in running the Queen’s Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada. Krista began her legal career working with Legal Aid Ontario in Simcoe County. She then worked with a mid-size litigation law firm in Toronto prior to returning to Simcoe County to focus her practice on Family Law. Krista practiced exclusively Family Law for several years at a boutique law firm in Barrie, Ontario prior to opening Moreau Family Law.

As a parent of young children herself, Krista appreciates and understands the stresses of day to day family life, and the impact family law matters can have on all aspects of a family – including for parents and children. Krista is organized, approachable and solution driven.  She is a dedicated advocate for her clients and works closely with each client to identify their unique concerns, needs and goals. Krista empowers her clients to walk through the Family Law process with confidence while offering a practical, reasonable approach to Family Law matters. Krista is fully trained in Collaborative Family Law and believes in finding low conflict, cost effective resolutions for her clients whenever possible.

Outside the office, Krista can be found enjoying time with her family. A former ski instructor with a love of travel, she is looking forward to many future adventures with her children and husband. When the kids are asleep, Krista can also be found enjoying a good book and a glass of wine!

Krista is a current member of the Board of Directors for Collaborative Practice Simcoe County and a former Board member for Catulpa Community Services. She is a member of the Simcoe County Lawyer’s Association, the Simcoe County Family Law Lawyer’s Association, the Family Law Section of Canadian Bar Association, Collaborative Practice Simcoe County and the Simcoe County Young Professionals Association.
