About Katie Gerber

Katie obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England and then returned to Ontario where she completed her articles and was called to the Ontario Bar. Katie later practiced as an Associate at another Family Law firm in Barrie for a number of years before joining Moreau Family Law.

Katie has always had a passion for Family Law; She strives to humanize the legal process by working with her clients to outline their goals for resolution, and to generate a strategic, cost-effective plan of action. She has a proven record of successfully resolving family law matters with the understanding that family law is not always win-or-lose, but often a complex and nuanced negotiation between parties that requires give and take.

Katie plays an active role in the Simcoe County community as well as the wider legal community. Katie is a current member on the Board of Directors for Children’s Treatment Network of Simcoe York, and serves as a mentor for prospective and current students studying law in the UK. She is a long-time alumna and friend to both Kent Law School and Canada Law From Abroad.

Hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, Katie relocated to Simcoe County in 2017. In her spare time Katie enjoys cooking gourmet meals, wrangling her two Siamese cats and sneaking away on Disney vacations with her husband.
